Your Doctor will consider surgery if:
You can not drive safely Routine activities are difficult (Cooking, Reading, Watching television, Climbing stairs) Blurred vision affects your jobSurgery takes 30-45 minutes and you can go home same day.
Follow Doctor's instructions about stopping medicines the night before
Wear comfortable clothes that don't need to be pulled over the head
After Surgery you must not:
Touch Rub or apply pressure to the eye for 2 weeks Lift anything over 10 kg for 2 weeks Drive or operate heavy machines until the doctor allows you Use soap over eye for 2 weeks Swim for 4 weeksAfter Surgery you can:
Watch television, if comfortable Read, if comfortable Use sunglasses for light protection Have your hair washed by another person
